Cricket fans are super excited about the Asia Cup T20 series 2025. The tournament takes place from September 9th to September 28th, 2025, in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The 17th edition of the Asia Cup will be played in a T20 format.

Asia Cup is bigger than ever, with eight teams competing for the trophy. Teams participating in the tournament include India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Oman, Hong Kong, China, and the UAE. Teams are divided into two groups. The top two teams from each group will move on to the Super Four stage, and then the best two will play in the grand final on September 28.

With eight titles, India is the most successful team in Asia Cup history. The Indian team will be led by Suryakumar Yadav as they aim to win their ninth title. Additionally, it will be India’s first big multi-team T20 after Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma retired. In this match, Pakistan’s Salman Ali Agha will lead the team, which is a two-time champion. In place of former stars such as Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, they have chosen a fresh squad.

Six-time champions Sri Lanka will be led by Charith Asalanka. Wanindu Hasaranga, despite his injury concerns, is also included in the squad. Rashid Khan will lead Afghanistan in the new T20 World Cup after the team impressed in the last edition.The UAE team will be led by Muhammad Waseem. Despite being the last to reveal their squad, they plan to surprise their opponents.
